As the global community approaches the 2030 deadline for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the mandate for inclusive and equitable quality education remains a significant challenge for developing nations. This article provides a multidimensional analysis of the barriers to inclusive education in Sub-Saharan Africa, ranging from resource scarcity to deeply embedded socio-cultural norms. By evaluating current institutional frameworks, the study identifies critical gaps in policy implementation and teacher preparedness. The findings advocate for a "bottom-up" approach to educational development, emphasizing local community engagement and flexible curriculum design. This research contributes to the ongoing discourse in the Journal of Education, Society & Development regarding the practical application of global mandates in localized contexts.
