Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Submissions to JESD must be original and not under consideration by any other publication.

  • Formatting: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) or PDF format. The text must be double-spaced, using 12-point Times New Roman font.

  • Citation Style: Please adhere to the APA (7th Edition) citation style for all references and in-text citations.

  • Length: Articles should typically range between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including references.

  • Illustrations: All figures, tables, and images should be embedded within the manuscript at the appropriate points rather than at the end.

1. License to Publish By submitting a manuscript to the Journal of Education, Society & Development (JESD), the author(s) grant the Journal a non-exclusive, perpetual right to formally publish, distribute, and archive the work in digital and print formats.

2. Rights of First Publication Authors retain the copyright to their work. However, by virtue of appearance in this Journal, authors agree to the condition that the Journal of Education, Society & Development is recognized as the venue of first publication.
