Journal of Religion, Ethics & Education
Informing the Mind, Engaging the Spirit
The Editorial Collective is pleased to present the first volume of the Journal of Religion, Ethics & Education (JREE). In an increasingly pluralistic world, the intersections of faith, moral philosophy, and pedagogy have become critical sites of both tension and transformation. JREE was founded to facilitate a rigorous, interdisciplinary dialogue that bridges the gap between theological tradition and educational practice.
This inaugural issue, "The Sacred and the Secular," examines how contemporary educational systems navigate religious diversity and ethical development. Our contributors explore the role of empathy in moral education, the challenges of teaching religious literacy in secular contexts, and the evolving relationship between spirituality and student well-being.
Key Themes in this Issue:
Religious Literacy: Strategies for fostering understanding in multicultural learning environments.
Moral Pedagogy: The integration of ethical frameworks into primary and secondary curricula.
Spirituality and Wellness: Analyzing the impact of contemplative practices on student mental health.
Pluralism in Practice: Case studies on interfaith dialogue within higher education.
