The Journal of Language & Society (JLS) believes that knowledge should be a public good. All articles published in JLS are made available immediately upon publication under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This means:

  • No Barriers: We do not charge "Article Processing Charges" (APCs) or submission fees for our inaugural issues.

Peer Review Excellence

To ensure the quality and validity of the research we publish, JLS follows a Double-Blind Peer Review process.

  • Anonymity: Neither the author nor the reviewer knows each other's identity.

  • Expertise: Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
